Faculty Research on Mexican American Families Wins Award

Assistant Professor Diana Formoso will receive an award on November 5th from the National Council on Family Relations for her research on men in families. Her research on Interparental Relations, Maternal Employment, and Fathering in Mexican American Families was selected from many applicants. Justin Dyer of the council said, "The committee was impressed with your (Dr. Formoso's) research and we would be pleased to honor your work with this award".

Dr. Formoso is currently working with Dr. Mercedes ter Maat, recent recipients of a 2009 Quality of Life Council Research Award, on interventions with students and families in four Broward County Schools.
