CPS doctoral students in clinical psychology made an impressive showing at the Annual Conference for the Association of Behavior and Cognitive Therapy that took place recently in Orlando. Thirteen students participated in presentations. The projects and corresponding presenters included::
Doctoral students Jeremy Mandelkorn, Wesley Smith, and assistant professor Craig Marker presented “Confirmatory factor analysis of the Mood Anxiety Symptom Questionnaire (MASQ).”
Doctoral students Kimberly Wisotzke, Allison Myers, Cassandra Marsello, and Marker presented “Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis of the Loneliness and Social Dissatisfaction Scale (LSDS).”
Doctoral students Elissa R. Golden, Lori Gulley-Boynton, Eric Kiner, and Marker presented “The clinical utility of the Depression Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-21) for monitoring treatment progress.”
CPS alumna Beth Zeldis, Psy.D. (2007), doctoral student Veronica G. Tilden, and CPS faculty David Reitman and Craig Marker presented “Relations between perceived weight status, actual weight status, and self-concept in an at-risk sample of youth participating in an after-school program, ” A second presentation “Predictors of Body Mass Index in an at-risk sample of youth participating in an after school program” was led by Ms. Tilden.
Doctoral student Sarah Rainer and Marker are presented “Determining the optimal cut-score using the PTSD Checklist (PCL).”
Doctoral students Andrew Voluse and Elliot Joseph and professors Linda and Mark Sobell and doctoral student Miriam Dum presented a poster on “Psychometric Properties of the Drug Use Disorders Identification Test (DUDIT) in Two Clinical Settings.”
