CPS Receives First Robert Wood Johnson Grant

Active Living Research, a national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, has awarded a one-year grant ($150, 000) to assess physical activity levels and fitness in afterschool programs. The study will identify if evidence-based physical activity curricula are effective in afterschool programs when compared to unstructured physical activity. Jean M. Thaw, Ph.D. is the principal investigator and CPS Associate Professor David Reitman, Ph.D. is the co-principal investigator; CPS Assistant Professor Christian DeLucia will serve as the grant quantitative evaluator.
