Harvard Professor Presents on Changing the Course for Angry and Resistant Youth

In a joint effort between CPS and NSU’s Office of Alumni Relations, over 100 CPS alumni, faculty, and student supervisors attended a continuing education program with a leading authority in developing resilience in children and youth. The event was held at Grand Oaks Golf Club. Robert Brooks, Ph.D. presented “Working with Angry and Resistant Youth: Strategies for Fostering Motivation, Self Discipline and Resilience,” Brooks who holds a faculty position at Harvard Medical School has lectured nationally and internationally to audiences of parents, educators, mental health professionals, and business people on topics pertaining to motivation, resilience, self-esteem, family relationships, and the qualities of effective leaders and executives.
